FAQ
What can I expect in my first session?
1
In our first session, I work with you to complete an intake assessment that will help provide an initial holistic view of the different factors influencing current patterns. We also work together to have a better understanding of what you hope to accomplish with therapy.
How do I get started?
2
Getting started is simple. Reach out through my contact form or feel free to call. From there I will walk you through the next steps in getting set up to start talk therapy.
What is EMDR, and is it a right fit for me?
3
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that helps with processing distressing memories and eventually help you change present patterns related to certain triggers. We would start with preparation and building coping tools, and move into EMDR when you are ready. Feel free to reach out for a consultation where I can elaborate more on EMDR and if it is a right fit.
Do you offer online or in person sessions?
4
I only offer online sessions for Illinois residents.
